Our Long Island location in Syosset, NY has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Professional in our Floor Plan Administration department.   


Position Summary:

The Administrative Professional will support the Floor Plan department in all phases of floor plan administration, from a show’s opening through its execution. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the technical aspects of running an event. Travel and weekend work is required during show season.


The ideal candidate must demonstrate strict attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, a sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment. He or she must be very focused and enjoy technical work and solving puzzles. The candidate must be able to work both independently and collaboratively when needed.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting all phases of floor plan administration, including launching a show, priority registration, printing show site floor plans, maintaining records for each show and other tasks as directed
  • Daily use of industry-specific software, such as EXPOCAD, ACT and QuickBooks
  • Database analytics and query development
  • Maintaining master files for each show and exhibitor categories, updating website data as needed
  • On-site operations including acting as point person, assisting with conflict resolution
  • Oversight of on-site exhibitors, vendors and all show related services as assigned
  • Conducting audits on each event, focusing on exhibitors in attendance, booth space, competitive guidelines and overall floor plan requirements
  • Distributing event floor plan logistical details to both internal and external stakeholders (sales representatives, management, vendors)
  • Processing client contracts
  • Fulfilling other functions and administrative tasks as directed



  • Minimum two years related office experience in a support role
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD or EXPOCAD) a plus
  • Comfort and aptitude with learning and utilizing our preferred software
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word as well as general office support functions
  • Flexibility and openness to take on new projects and tasks and work in an ever-changing and growing company
